We would like to welcome you to our Department of Chemistry. With 24 academic staff and more than 200 undergraduate students, the Department of Chemistry is a vibrant place to learn and work.
Officially opened/inaugurated in 1994, our Department is situated in Castres, a town of around 47,000 inhabitants, in the southwest of France (about an hour drive from Toulouse).
The Department of Chemistry is part of Paul Sabatier University - Toulouse III, one of the largest and most prestigious universities in France, and it offers a thorough programme for those interested in studying chemistry. We also offer research opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students as part of student exchange programmes and university bilateral agreements.

Students who wish to study at the Department of Chemistry can apply to any of the three undergraduate degree programmes listed below.
- DUT (Diplôme Universitaire de Technologie) : a technological two-year university degree in chemistry L2 level *
- Professionally-oriented Bachelor of Science in Formulation Chemistry L3 level
- Professionally-oriented Bachelor of Science in Chemistry L3 level
